Over the last 15 years, a number of technologies have emerged that facilitate the accurate reproduction of colour on computer displays. Human colour perception is a very complex phenomenon, though, which makes total accuracy a difficult proposition. Partly as a consequence of this, there are a number of distinct technologies of increasing sophistication and complexity that cover this problem domain. This talk will attempt to give an overview of how ICC profile workflows and Colour Appearance Models are linked, and where each of these technologies is best used.
