Department of Image Processing

The goal of the MedV4D project is the development of a complex software for medical imaging data analysis and processing. The medical imaging data (radiograms, CT, MRI, ultrasound) has already become the basic tool of medical diagnosis. It even goes beyond this area and is successfuly applied in the development of new medical routines, medical staff education and even during surgical interventions.
The MedV4D project is aimed at the implementation of

* image processing algorithms (numeric analysis, statistics)
* visualisation methods (GPU programming)
* interactive user interface (workflow design)
* standards common in medical computer science (DICOM, PACS)
